About This Tool

The Cloud Cost Comparison Calculator helps you estimate and compare monthly cloud infrastructure costs across four major providers: AWS EC2, GCP Compute Engine, DigitalOcean Droplets, and Hetzner Cloud. Enter your resource requirements — vCPUs, RAM, storage, and bandwidth — and instantly see which provider offers the best value for your workload.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How accurate are these cloud pricing estimates?
These estimates are based on approximate on-demand hourly rates for each provider. Actual costs may vary based on reserved instances, committed use discounts, data transfer within regions, and other provider-specific pricing nuances. Always check the official pricing pages for your specific use case.
What is the cost-performance score?
The cost-performance score is a 1–10 rating where 10 represents the best value. It normalizes costs across providers: the cheapest option always scores 10, and the most expensive scores 1. Intermediate providers are scored proportionally between these extremes.
How does GCP sustained use discount work?
GCP automatically applies a 30% sustained use discount to compute resources that run for a significant portion of the billing month. This calculator applies that discount to the compute portion of the GCP estimate. For more detailed cloud comparisons, use our PostgreSQL Hosting Cost Calculator.
